There may be times when your chosen items are out stock. If this happens, we will contact you within two days of receiving your order and advise you of the expected delivery date or offer you an alternative.
We aim to provide quality products and a first class service. However, if for any reason you wish to return or exchange anything you have bought from us we will refund or exchange your order, provided goods are returned to us in a re-saleable condition within 14 days of receipt of your order.
Please send items back to us in a re-saleable condition within 14 days of receipt, together with your name, your order number and instructions as to whether you wish to exchange your item or receive a refund.
To make this process easier, please complete our returns / exchanges form sent with the original parcel. Please return both the items and a completed returns/exchanges form to:

We recommend that you post any items back to us using Registered Royal Mail or a similar service (so if your parcel goes missing in the post, you have evidence of returning it to us).
You are responsible for paying the returns postage. However, if you wish to exchange the item, we will pay for the postage for the new items.
We will refund the original postage on goods returned if received back within the 14 day period.
Any refunds will be credited to your original method of payment within 5 working days of us receiving them back.
Note – If goods are not returned to us in a fully re-saleable condition (i.e. the items have not been worn and in the original packaging), we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount.
Your UK statutory rights are not affected by our Exchanges and Returns Policy.

Please return the goods with the original packaging and all the documentation and paperwork. We can help with all your mobility and disability needs.
More Than Mobility have two stores, one is located at 139 Cornwall Street by The Pannier Plymouth City Indoor Market and our other store is based at 2/3 Strode Road in Plympton, Plymouth. Both stores have parking and disabled parking just a few feet from our front doors. Both outlets are really convenient for customers coming from Plymouth, South Devon and Cornwall. We also offer home visits if you would prefer.

Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Saturday 9am – 3pm
Outside these hours we have a 24 hour answerphone and if you leave a message, we will call you back the next working day.

Yes, we offer free as Home Assessments, we appreciate that many of our customers find it difficult to come into our stores. These assessments enable us to assess you carrying out key day to day tasks and establish what items would bring you most benefit and give you your independence.

There is no delivery fee for larger items bought in our shops, which require delivery to your home.  We will arrange delivery with you at a time convenient to both of us.

Our goal is to deliver premium goods and services. If you purchase goods in our stores, you will not normally have a right to return the goods, unless they are faulty.

If you buy from our online store, as long as the goods are returned to us in re-saleable condition within 14 days of receiving your order, we will refund or exchange the item you have purchased from us.

We offer a free delivery and set up service for our larger items on request.  Delivery timings will depend on the availability of the goods and finding a time convenient to both parties.

For nationwide deliveries of items listed on our online store we use national couriers. For all UK mainland orders placed by 11 a.m., we can provide a Next Day Service (excluding weekends). Orders placed after 11 a.m, orders will depart the following day (excluding weekends).

Please remember to fill out the special instructions box at the checkout if you won’t be home to sign for your package so the courier knows where to store it in a safe location if you won’t be home to sign for it. Your door will be left open with a card letting you know it has been delivered.

For items bought in our stores or delivered to you by our team, you are responsible for alerting us to any damage at the time of purchase or delivery.  In the event of a fault arising due to defects in manufacture or materials, you will be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (normally 12 months).


If you have bought goods from our online store, you can return items delivered damaged. Please let us know as soon as you discover any defects or shipping damage with the goods. You can contact our Plymouth store on 01752 673367 and our Plympton store on 01752 547765 to accomplish this. Please send the items back in their original packing along with all the papers and documentation. After we receive the products, we will either give you a replacement or a complete refund using the same payment method you used initially. We will also pay for any reasonable return shipping charges you incur.

All our brand-new power chairs and mobility scooters are covered by a full 12-month warranty. Despite the fact that mobility scooters and power chairs are built to an extremely high level, things might still go wrong from time to time. 

Used or re-conditioned items are guaranteed for 3 months from the date of purchase or if later, the date of delivery.

Our stairlifts come with up to a 5-year warranty for parts and 12 months for labour. 

We also offer an extended warranty service so you are covered in the event of any breakdown.  Please ask for details – products with extended warranties range from one to four years.

If you or the recipient of the goods is eligible for VAT relief, we can offer many of our products to you without adding VAT to the price (disabled or suffering with a chronic sickness).

We have a wide variety of Mobility scooter and powerchair batteries are available her at More Than Mobility, ranging from 7ah SLA batteries to 100ah (SLA and GEL) batteries. We have battery testing facilities, so we will be able to test the condition of your batteries, and if new ones are required, we are very happy to install new batteries for you.

We provide and install batteries for powerchairs and mobility scooters of various brands. Please call us on 01752 673367 (Plymouth store) or 01752 547765 (Plympton Store), you can collect batteries from our store and we will install them for you or we can ship your new batteries directly to you.

Our stores and local service for larger mobility items, which require assessment, cover all Devon and Cornwall including Plymouth, Tavistock, Newton Abbott, Torquay, Launceston, Saltash, Bodmin, Liskeard, St Austell, Newquay and Truro.
